Admission requirements

International transfer admission is based on your most recent grade-point average and academic standing.

​

To be considered for admission to USW, you must satisfy the following admission criteria:

 

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA (4.0 scale)

  • Good academic standing at most recent institution

  • Submit an official bank statement or current financial letter of support (within the last 6 months) showing the ability to finance the estimated cost of attendance for one year

​

International transfer students who do not meet the GPA requirement will be required to submit an appeal to be reconsidered for admission. International transfer students who left most recent institution on academic or disciplinary probation or suspension will be admitted on academic probation if appeal is approved.

If you are not a U.S. citizen and plan to transfer to USW from a US college or university with a current F-1 student visa to pursue an undergraduate degree, you are in the right spot and are one step closer to officially becoming a Mustang!

Submit your application

Once you've decided what you want to study, it's time to submit your application!

Send in required admissions documents

Applications typically require additional documentation such as transcripts, test scores, English proficiency scores, financial statements, identification documents, etc.

Freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus. Housing is otherwise optional. Housing also includes a required meal plan.

Once your application and all required documentation has been received, allow three (3) business days for your application to be processed. Upon receipt, you will be sent an acknowledgement via email by your Director of Undergraduate Admissions & Student Support. Next steps, additional information, further requests (if applicable) and initial admission decisions will be shared via email.

If you are then offered admission to USW, it's time to start planning for New Student OrientationYou will receive details for this via email.

​

Admitted international students should also make arrangements for their International Check-In, which will be scheduled with you via email.
