General Studies

BA

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in General Studies program allows students to engage in study across various disciplines (e.g., history, mathematics, sociology, psychology, literature, and religion) while also allowing students to choose their own academic emphases. Students can more deeply explore a particular area of study, as long as the basic requirements of the degree plan and of the university are met. This generalist degree offers an employer proof that an applicant has developed good skills in judgment, critical thinking, and analysis. This degree plan is typically for those students who already have a significant number of college credits completed from previous years of schooling, but were unable to finish their degrees at that time.
