Position Summary:

The Student Success & Learning Resources Coordinator serves as a resource for students that need extra assistance navigating their college experience. This position will work collaboratively with various staff to provide guidance and support to students. This position will help assist and guide students through the different learning resources available. This position is customer service driven. This position will also provide administrative support to the Campus Life & Student Affairs department.

Essential Functions:
  • Point of contact for academic tutoring

  • Assist students with navigating learning resources

  • Manage all learning resources including library subscriptions

  • Defines and coordinates proactive support strategies for identified students

  • Assist students who are identified as “at risk” by guiding them to the different learning resources

  • Coordinates follow up meeting with students who are identified as “at risk”

  • Collaborate with VP of Campus Life & Student Affairs on matters related to retention and student success

  • Performs various support tasks for student success and support programs; troubleshoots and resolves problems, and recommends solutions related to student success

  • Provide programming related to student needs

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of on‐campus visits

  • Facilitate weekly events to help retention efforts

  • Assist with preparing for special events orientation, graduation

  • Evaluate and assesses housing occupancy, retention, and projection trends

  • Ensures compliance with relevant policies, procedures, professional standards, laws and national trends as applicable

  • Supervise work study

  • Complete routine office work related to student affairs

Other responsibilities:
  • Participate in campus activities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Education, experience, & skills required:
  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Higher Education experience preferred

  • Ability to be student oriented and customer service focused

  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as necessary (student orientation, campus events, etc.)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate successfully with a diverse student body and work force

  • Experience as a self-starter and embrace a diverse, inclusive, and equity driven philosophy
