Position Summary:

This position will provide administrative support to the Campus Life and Student Affairs department. The Student Affairs Operations Coordinator will support housing operations and student engagement initiatives. This position will play a key role in enhancing the student experience.

Essential Functions:
  1. Provide advanced administrative support to the Campus Life and Student Affairs department

  2. Assist with new student orientation

  3. Assist with housing meal/room assignments

  4. Maintain accurate reporting of meal/room assignments

  5. Evaluates and assesses College housing occupancy, retention, and projection trends

  6. Submit housing work orders

  7. Process and expense authorizations, purchase orders, bill payments, budget revisions, and individual reimbursements

  8. Manage student organizations

  9. Assist with building coverage

  10. Help facilitate Resident Assistant/Resident Director training

  11. Respond to and supports medical emergencies, safety and security emergencies, and students in crisis as needed

  12. Supervise work study

  13. Support RA/RD staff

  14. Facilitate weekly events to help with retention efforts

  15. Assist with mail services and distribution

Other responsibilities:

Participate in campus activities.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Education, experience, & skills required:

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma with equivalent experience considered.

2. Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook.

4. Ability to interact with a wide variety of backgrounds and personalities.

5. Professional discretion/confidentiality.
