Position Summary:

We are seeking applicants for adjunct faculty positions in the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, and Education.

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage courses and promote program development

  2. Possess professional accomplishments that demonstrate creativity and energy, self-direction, and the ability to work with a highly motivated team

  3. Demonstrate excellence in teaching and a willingness to teach using traditional and distance education technologies

  4. Facilitate/teach assigned courses; online graduate courses

  5. Respond to student phone and email inquiries within 24 hours (48 hours on weekends)

  6. Plan, organize, and inform students of course content, texts, readings, assignments, attendance/participation, methods of evaluation/assessment, including grading scales

  7. Follow through with all directives handed down by the Dean

  8. Submit final course grades to the registrar’s office by the established deadline

  9. Use distance education learning platforms and appropriate digital learning resources

  10. Encourage and support scholarly activity among students

  11. Use technology to enhance teaching, learning, and communicating

  12. Participate in professional development opportunities

  13. Participate in and develop efforts to recruit and retain students

  14. Maintain a high level of professional ethics

  15. Ensure ADA compliance within classes assigned

  16. Carry out all duties with professionalism and cordiality

Other responsibilities:
  1. Perform other related duties as assigned

  2. Participate in campus activities (Residential Faculty)

Education, experience, & skills required:
  1. Ph.D, Ed.D or other terminal degree from an accredited institution of higher learning

Education, experience, & skills Preferred:
  1. Online teaching experience strongly preferred

  2. Preference for adjunct positions is given to residents of New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Virginia, and Idaho
