The Student Incentive Payment Plan (SIPP) is an alternative payment method that enables students to remit their educational costs over four installments rather than the lump sum payment normally due one week before the start of classes.

Cost of the Plan
The Student Incentive Payment Plan is not a loan program; accordingly, there are no interest charges. The only cost to participate is a non-refundable deferment fee: $45.00 per semester.

Timing of Payments
Payments for fall enrollees are due one week before the start of classes, and again in September, October, and November.

Spring participants make installment payments one week before the start of classes, and again in February, March, and April.

Please contact the Business Office regarding the deferment plan for special terms and payment dates. Payments made after the due dates may be subject to a late fee.

*Students enrolling after the plan start date must make the first payment at the time of application (no later than the first day of classes).

How the Plan Works
Students wishing to enroll in the plan should calculate the SIPP Payment Plan amount due in the following manner.

  1. Determine the total of your educational expenses (tuition, room and board) for the term you wish to defer payments. Books, SIPP deferment fee, and all other fees are not deferrable. These amounts are payable at the time of purchase and/or registration.
  2. Deduct from that figure any scholarships, and other payments or financial aid to be credited to your account.
  3. The resulting figure is the amount to be deferred. This amount will be spread over four installments.
  4. The first installment is due one week before the start of classes, and must be remitted with the SIPP deferment fee, and other course fees. A late fee will be charged for payments received after the due date.
