Going back to college as an adult can be a daunting, but very worthwhile experience!

If you live halfway around the world or only a few miles from the USW campus, you can now experience the academic and lifelong learning programs without the barriers of time, location, and even without leaving your employment.

Continuing Education for teachers, counselors, and other educational personnel
University of the Southwest has partnered with Virtual Education Software, inc. to provide continuing education courses for teachers online or via CD-Rom. These interactive, multimedia courses are convenient, affordable and relevant, providing expert instruction at a pace that fits your schedule. They can be completed in the comfrot of your own home and then immediately applied in the classroom. Courses are offered for either continuing education units (CEUs) or for graduate credit.

USW now offers over 350 Online Non-academic Courses and 130 Online Career Training Programs
We now offer a program that makes it easy for you to take high-quality, affordable Online Non-academic Courses and Online Career Training Programs. Through a partnership with ed2go|GES, you can develop new skills and knowledge in order to stand out in today's competitive job market.

This program allows you to enhance your personal and professional skills and prepares you to launch a new career or advance in an existing one, no matter where you’re located Comprehensive six-week online courses start monthly, and you can work anytime and anywhere that is convenient for you. Each high-quality course includes comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and a discussion area. Dedicated instructors facilitate every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.

The Online Career Training Programs are available to start anytime. They range from three to six months, and many offer an extension period if necessary. Many programs include an industry certification exam, and internship and externship opportunities are available for select programs. The programs are entirely Web-based, but expert instructors provide office hours and quick answers to any student questions.

Individuals who successfully complete these approved courses and programs will be awarded continuing education units. A permanent record of CEUs awarded will be maintained in the university database and will be easily accessible for verification purposes.
