The genetics program integrates disciplines ranging from molecular and cellular genetics to evolutionary genetics and genomics in microbial, plant, and animal systems. It is a non-thesis program. This Master’s degree takes 30 credit hours to complete. Students will have the opportunity to earn a graduate certificate while pursuing this degree (*Certificate Does Not lead to licensure) . The graduates are equipped for successful careers in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, academic and government research laboratories, and are prepared for doctoral programs, medical school, and health-related professional programs.
