McDonalds in Hobbs and Lovington Donates to USW

USW ATHLETICS RECEIVES $7,500 CORPORATE SPONSORSHIP FROM MCDONALD’S OF HOBBS AND LOVINGTON.

[Hobbs, NM] – The University of the Southwest Department of Athletics announced today that it has received a $7,500 Corporate Sponsorship from McDonalds of Hobbs and Lovington.  This corporate sponsorship will contribute to anticipated enhancements of the athletic facilities on the USW Campus.

This is the first year that the USW Corporate Sponsorship Program has been offered. Established by the USW Office for Development and External Relations, its purpose is to provide funding to the University for Special Projects and other institutional initiatives. 

“We are most appreciative of this generous contribution to the USW Mustang Athletic Program from Kenny Fadke and McDonald’s of Hobbs & Lovington,” stated Vice President for Institutional Development and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics William Weidner. “This gracious support will greatly assist our ongoing efforts of best positioning our student-athletes to excel in both the academic and athletic arenas”.   

“McDonald’s of Hobbs and Lovington is honored to partner with USW to be able to support the student athletes that compete in their respective sports and continue to excel in the classroom,” stated Kenny Fadke, Owner Operator.

There are multiple sponsorship levels available to businesses interested in participating.  Each sponsorship level provides benefits to the sponsoring business including, but not limited to, multiple opportunities for exposure online, in local media, and at USW events.

The USW athletic program is currently the fastest growing intercollegiate athletic program in the nation with the addition of 10 sport programs in the past 2 years. USW athletics currently sponsors Baseball, Men’s Basketball,Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Golf,Women’s Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, Men’s Indoor Track & Field, Women’s Indoor Track & Field, Men’s Outdoor Track & Field, Women’s Outdoor Track & Field and Women’s Volleyball.  All told, Mustang Athletics will proudly sponsor 19 sport programs in the upcoming 2017-18 academic year with the addition of Cheerleading and Competitive Dance. 

In 1962, the College of the Southwest was founded as an independent, non-denominational,       four-year liberal arts college to serve the southeastern New Mexico and West Texas region.
Today it is known as University of the Southwest, a Christ-centered educational community dedicated to developing men and women for a lifetime of servant leadership by emphasizing individual faith, responsibility,and initiative.
