University of the Southwest encourages every student to be a person of initiative by advocating for and participating in the productive commerce of free enterprise. We believe that the American dream is a reality for those who will take hold of it. Each year University of the Southwest celebrates this by hosting the Free Enterprise Dinner. At this event the University honors a local business person with the Trustee of Free Enterprise Award. The Free Enterprise Dinner also features a keynote address by a nationally renowned speaker.
Because of the generous underwriting of the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation, the Free Enterprise Dinner has become a signature opportunity for generating financial support for University of the Southwest. Interested parties may become an event sponsor at one of the following levels:
- Silver Level $ 1000 – Table of eight and a listing in the program
- Gold Level $ 5000 – Two tables of eight and a half-page graphic ad in the program
- Platinum Level $10000 – Three tables of eight, a full-page graphic ad in the program, and listed as co-sponsor in all radio and newspaper advertisements.
- Each sponsorship above the cost of a ticket is a tax-exempt donation and will go to support student scholarships.
If you are unable to sponsor the Free Enterprise Dinner, please plan on attending this special event. Individual tickets are available for $50. Each year University of the Southwest provides more than $1 million dollars in tuition assistance, which benefits over 90% of our students.
