Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Mathematics

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics prepares students for graduate study in mathematics or for positions in data analysis, production scheduling, market forecasting and finance, and research. Mathematics provides much of the language and quantitative underpinnings of the natural and social sciences, and mathematical scientists have been responsible for the development of many of our innovative tools and devices.

The faculty in the mathematics department work to give students a solid foundation in mathematical principles. Students are prepared for higher level math classes, and they are prepared to use mathematical concepts in other fields of study.
