/files/Images/PerformingArts/theatre_sm.jpgThe Humanities degree at University of the Southwest gives students a broad and well-rounded education that will provide a solid foundation for success in many jobs. The coursework teaches skills such as the ability to write clearly, debate, think logically, organize information, and speak in public. The humanities are a good field of study for students with broad interests, and a background in humanities can make you more cultured and a better critical thinker.

Humanities students take classes in a wide range of subjects including: religion, philosophy, music, languages, art, and literature.

Someone with an advanced degree in humanities may go into teaching, but most students of the humanities pursue an advanced degree in another field such as law, medicine, or journalism. Graduates with a bachelor's degree in the humanities are often qualified for entry-level positions or internships.
